Traditional Chinese Brush Painting Workshop

Celebration of the Lunar New Year

Lion Yard, Cambridge

Sho-Jen led free artist-guided workshops celebrating the Lunar New Year with traditional Chinese brush painting and calligraphy.

Visitors of all ages were invited to experience Chinese ink painting and create traditional Chūnlián (Spring Couplets) using brush and ink on red paper.

Participants practised Chinese calligraphy before creating their own finished artwork to take home as a traditional New Year decoration.

The workshops formed part of Lion Yard's Chinese New Year celebrations and welcomed families, visitors and aspiring artists throughout the event.

Thank you to Lion Yard Cambridge for supporting these workshops.
